Creating a blog is one way to earn money online.  You can use a program such as Google Adsense or affiliate marketing products to earn money from a blog about nearly any interest.  If you update your blog at least a few times a week, you'll be creating new content which can appear in search engine searches.  Regularly-updated websites are given preference by search engines like Google.

Starting a web business is another option.  Just like there are no magic weight loss cures or ways to earn money from residence without a great deal of effort, there is no one simple solution to guarantee Internet marketing success, but such businesses can be started with little risk.

Be wary of any sites that ask for payment or over-emphasize referrals.  You may be offered some surveys without payment, with an incentive of an entry in a drawing for example.  Feel free to decline to take such surveys; you are not committed to fill out surveys if you are not happy with the compensation.  Most websites will clearly explain how much compensation is involved in a survey.  Usually, a short survey would reward you a few dollars, which can really add up in the long-term.
